Hakarimata Water Works Track

Hamilton New Zealand offers many great walks through out the area and the Hakarimata water works track is one of them, a gentle stroll along a river soon ends when more than 1400 timber steps take you to the summit with a fantastic view across the Waikato Plains.

The Hakarimata walkway is just north of Ngaruawahia out side of Hamilton in the Waikato, the track starts on Brownlee Avenue, off Hakarimata Road.

We have been on that track it is unique in that the entire accent is up wooden steps and they are very steep in places well worth a walk up with the family if you are in the area, there is a great view at the top from the look out to enjoy.
